SonicStacker (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website and music generation service (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Prompts and inputs: The text prompts, descriptions, and settings you provide when generating music.
• Payment information: When you purchase a credit pack, payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. We receive a tokenized reference and billing details (name, address) from Stripe.
• Support communications: Any messages you send to our support team.
• Marketing preferences:Whether you've opted in to receive promotional communications.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, generation counts, and interaction timestamps.
• Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and device identifiers.
• Cookies and local storage: See Section 4 for details.

What we do not store:We do not store personally identifiable information (PII) about you beyond your name and email address. The one exception is content you choose to provide: if you voluntarily include personal information (your own or anyone else's) in a song prompt or lyrics, we process and store that content as part of your request in order to generate your song. You include such information at your own discretion.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Process and fulfill music generation requests using our AI pipeline.
• Process payments and manage your purchases through Stripe.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts, service notifications).
• Send marketing emails about new features and free credit offers (with your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.
• Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and features.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your content or prompts to train AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following types of cookies and local storage:

• Essential cookies: Required for the Service to function (authentication sessions, security tokens). You cannot opt out of these without affecting your ability to use the Service.
• Preference storage:We store user preferences (such as theme settings and generation history) in your browser's local storage. This data stays on your device.
• Analytics cookies: We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service. These do not track you across other websites.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain Service functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

We work with a limited set of third-party providers to operate the Service. Each has access only to the information necessary to perform their function:

• AI Music Generation:We use third-party AI services to generate audio from your prompts. When you create music, relevant prompt, lyrics, and style data is sent to our AI provider's servers for processing. We do not share your personal account information with these providers.
• Stripe:Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you enter payment information, it is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. We receive only a token and summary billing data. Stripe's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic (Claude):Our AI assistant feature uses Anthropic's Claude API to help you craft music prompts. Text you enter into the assistant is processed by Anthropic. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Cloud hosting providers: Our infrastructure runs on industry-standard cloud platforms with appropriate security certifications.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (such as payment records for tax purposes, which may be retained for up to 7 years).

Generated audio files associated with your account are retained while your account is active and for up to 90 days after account deletion.

If you start writing a song with our AI assistant before creating an account, we keep that conversation (the messages you send and the assistant's replies). If you then create an account, we use it to pick up where you left off and generate your song, so your work carries over. We also use these pre-signup conversations to understand how the assistant is used, improve it, and detect abuse. We retain them for up to 90 days, associated with a device and network identifier rather than a named account. As described in Section 2, any personal information you choose to include is included at your own discretion.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
• Encrypted storage for sensitive data at rest.
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data.
• Regular security reviews and monitoring.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never gain access to your data. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. While our catalog includes children's songs created and enjoyed by families, accounts are for adults only.

We do not knowingly collect or store the personal details of minors. We do not actively verify age or block access, so the responsibility for adult use rests with the account holder. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided us with their data, please contact us at support@softstackers.com.

10. International Data Transfers

Our Service is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.
